Coming up... our Grade One Winter Celebration!
Your child should already have brought home an invitation to our Winter Celebration, on Tuesday, December 17th, at 2:30 pm. Please join us in room 152 to hear your little elf sing, recite poems, and share their winter creations! There will be hot chocolate provided at the end :)
You are welcome to take your child home at the end of our celebration, as it will coincide with the end of the school day. However, if your child usually takes the school bus home, I kindly ask that you alert the office before taking your child with you.
Hope to see you then! The kids are SOOOOO excited :)

Parent-teacher interviews are this Thursday evening and Friday morning.
I will be sending home a request form tonight. Please write down at least two times (preferably three) that you could meet with me. I will be meeting people Thursday evening until about 7 p.m., and will begin interviews at 8 a.m. on Friday. If these times do not work for you, we can come up with an alternative time, or even just chat on the phone!

Exciting news everyone! Our grade one team has planned our first field trip of the year! We are off to Country Heritage Park on October 23rd. It is a full-day excursion, with plenty of exciting autumnal activities in store!
Please send trip forms back to me as soon as possible! We are allowed ONE parent volunteer per class, so if you are interested, please be sure to say so on your child's form. I will then put all names in a hat and draw one name in order to provide a fair chance for everyone! Thank you in advance to everyone for offering up their time :)

OPEN HOUSE - aka Meet the Teacher Night - will be held on Thursday, September 26th.
BBQ will begin at 5:30 out on the playground.
Classroom doors will open at 6:00 and will close at 7:30.
I look forward to meeting everyone!

Here is what our schedule looks like for this fall:
Day One: Library
Day Two: Physical Education & Media Literature
Day Three: Physical Education
Day Four: Music
Day Five: Physical Education & Drama
*these are classes that your child receives from another teacher within the school. Any questions concerning these classes should be directed towards that specific teacher, as they will be able to best answer any questions or concerns you may have!
